This area is best known for Waimea Canyon, the "Grand Canyon of the Pacific." But there are plenty of
other reasons to come here. Russian Ft. Elisabeth, the Captain Cook Monument, and ancient salt ponds--where the art of salt-making is still practiced--are just of few of the colorful locations that are "grand" in their own way.
